C 001 Prasident:  The steamer was launched on 26.8.1905 at the Seebeck AG, Bremerhaven for the Hamburg – Amerika Line.  Until the first World War the Präsident was servicing between Caribbean islands and the West Indian Main harbors. In 1917, the ship was confiscated bz the USA and was handed over to the US Navy. There she was in service under the name “Kittery” in her old territory as supply for US bases. 1937 she was wrecked after 4 years out of service in Baltimore.
